The ability of the patella to track efficiently/effectively as the quadricep generates force to move into TKE is vital for not only performance but overall health of the patella tendon and the knee complex (joints, cartilage, tissue) .
This variation of a TKE exercise continues to emphasize the quadriceps ability to generate force into extension (w/ use of a resistance band), but also challenges the stability of the lower extremity in functional patterns.
