Hip mobility not just improve athletic performance but can also lessen the occurrence of lower back pain/injury and boost explosive movements. 🔥 @theclimbclinic ・・・ Wag Bag Performance Strategies: Hip Mobilization w/ Band 💯 . . The ability to move into end-range hip flexion can prove valuable for performing high steps on the climbing wall and rushing into deep squats off the side of the trail 😬👍 . . Here are two strategies to self-mobilize the hip complex and push out a little extra hip flexion mobility the next time you are at the crag ✅ . . Anchor the resistive band at one end and allow the other end to wrap around your hip joint. Increase the tension on the band and gradually lean into hip flexion with a forward lunge 🤘 . . The resistive band can provide lateral glide (Video 1) and/or a inferior glide of the hip complex that can be useful in actively mobilizing the hip into greater ranges of functional hip flexion 🔥 . . Tag a climber that could use some extra mobility in their high step 💯 . . Be sure to load up on wag bags & rad t-shirts by becoming a @boulderclimbingcommunity member today.
